There are lots of ways to volunteer with Reach SV. In fact, we have worked hard to build a model we can customize to the skills of the current volunteers, whether it is just you or your entire family, with or without young children, young or old alike. Here are some examples:
Super Saturdays - Our program runs in short sessions of 1-4 weeks (often on Saturday mornings, but sometimes on week nights) and typically include tracks for different life skills. This might include robotics, sewing, painting, sports, photography or many more. This is a great way to plug in your skills and share with someone who has the same passions, or could have the passion if they were able to receive basic exposure.
Drive thru food distribution - Come alongside Reach at a drive thru food giveaway.
Bookshelf in Every Home - Each bookshelf project requires an army of volunteers to help at each station of the decorating process and book choosing.
Produce Pick-Up - Transport recovered produce on Saturdays, collected from a local farmer's market, back to our hub for immediate distribution to refugees and households in need.
Donation Sorting - Sort books, clothing and other household items for redistribution.
Pop-up pantry support - Join us out in the Community at a pantry pop-up where we give away household items, hygiene kits, clothing, food, etc.
Economic & Financial Life Skills - Are you...... A budgeting wiz? Someone who owns their own business? A Residential Engineer (someone skilled at running their household and helping their family thrive) or Engineer in the marketplace? Perhaps you make the best loaded potatoes or brownies and you want to share your secret sauce with us.
What ever your skill set is, if you have a heart to serve others, we have opportunities for you to plug in.
