FamiliesWe believe that the heart of change for the next generation starts with the family. This is why so many of our programs include a family learning component; whether it is parent inclusion such as the parent education at our bookshelf projects, participation in field trips, economic development classes, scheduling programs in parallel so all family members have something to do, inviting families to help with the organization; planning, food preparation, or at one of our programs targeted directly to households in need such as at our food distributions, blanket, sock and shoe giveaways, at Community outreaches, etc.
When parents are equipped and have all of the tools they need to thrive, the impact will live long past our programs. |
