Dream4College Champions:  Inviting Friends to be Kids' Sponsors

This year we have expanded Dream4College to reach 350 youth and need to almost double our $35 sponsorships from last year.  To accomplish our 2013 goal, we've created an online "Team Fundraising" tool where you can easily invite several friends from your alma-mater, work, church or neighborhood to join you in sponsoring 5-10 youth ($35 each) to experience "College for a Day" at Stanford and more.  Here's what you need to do if you want to be a Dream4College Champion.
  1. Click here to go to our Dream4College Team Fundraising Page
  2. Click on the green FUNDRAISE BUTTON inside the green Join This Team box on the right. 
  3. Follow the set-up instructions
  4. Name your fundraiser (mention who you are asking... college, work, church or neighborhood friends if you are focusing on a specific group)
Examples include:
  • GoBears – CAL friends making a Difference!
  • Kate & Mike’s Dream4College site
  • Let’s Sponsor 25 Kids to Dream for College
  • King’s Academy helping under-resourced kids Dream for College!
  5.    Complete “Cause Set-up” (right side of screen) steps 1 to 3
  6.    “Illustrate Your Story”  - upload a photo of your own or one of the photo options. Photos people have used have included: college friends photo, pic or own child in college T-shirt, group shot of Book Club, etc)
   7.   Set Your Goal: Insert a goal amount of $175 (5 youth), $350 (10 youth), etc.   e.g., # of kids u hope to sponsor times $35 (full sponsorship) or $15 (T-shirt)

Then just use the URL link of your newly created page to share with friends by email and post to facebook, etc.
